Koi Koi is ideally situated for exploring the many attractions of Toro in western Uganda. We are within easy reach of Kibale National Park, renowned for chimpanzee tracking, and Semuliki National Park, a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 400 species, hot springs, and home to the indigenous Batwa pygmy people. The Rwenzori Mountain range, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a favorite for hikers, is nearby. Toro’s stunning tea plantations, caves, waterfalls, and scenic crater lakes are only minutes from Koi Koi and are breathtaking to behold.
We are also conveniently located along the route to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most visited wildlife reserve, and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, famous for its gorillas. The King’s palace is also close by, as Tooro remains one of the few kingdoms in Uganda. The region’s pleasant climate and scenic landscapes have attracted people from various cultures over the years, and at Koi Koi, you can immerse yourself in these rich traditions through cultural tours, performances, museum and art exhibits, and our craft shop. Our gardens feature many indigenous plants, including medicinal herbs.
