Chimpundu Lodge
Chimpundu Lodge is a benchmark setter for luxury safari lodges in Kibale National Park. The lodge is described as cool, contemporary and stylish, but with a warm heart and an authentic African soul. Nestled on the edge of Kibale Forest National Park, Chimpundu Lodge has over 18 beautiful luxurious cottages that are thatched with unique privacy and tranquility. Going further to each beautiful cottage, it ties with a choice of twin or double beds made up with clean bed linen and feather pillows. The pillows are soft enough to give visitors a comfortable night.
Furthermore, the cottages include spacious dressing rooms, en-suite bathrooms and private sundecks. They are also equipped with modern amenities, including fans, mini-bar, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. Additional blankets are also available on request, for the chillier months.
The central seating area takes you out to a private deck where you can enjoy morning coffee with a unique swiping view of Kibale forest. Other surroundings to admire include the ranges of Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the ‘Mountains of the moon’. Each spacious cottage assures you with hot bathing water and electric charging points, to keep you connected during your stay.
Activities Around the Lodge
Chimpundu Lodge offers you the three main meals in a day that are served in the main restaurant, with both buffet and a la-carte menu. The menu is based on classical European cuisines, tweaked to make use of local ingredients. Many of these of ingredients are handpicked fresh from the lodge’s own kitchen garden or the neighboring local markets, as way to support the community.
The lounge offers an excellent relaxation area where you will find a fireplace, just to keep you warm while you sip a drink from our stocked bar. The bar has various drinks that include local beers, wines, whisky, and international flavors.
