Gorilla Habituation Safari Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport-Kampala
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will then take you to The Boma Hotel in Entebbe or Cassia Lodge (mid-range), for an overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2: Kampala-Kibale National Park
Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just below the Rwenzori Mountains. Then get on an afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area of the park for an outstanding cultural visit.
Meals and overnight stay at Primate Lodge or Forest Cottage (mid-range). Meal Plan: B, L & D
Day 3: Kibale Chimpanzee Habituation Experience
Today is dedicated for chimpanzee habituation experience. Start the day with an early morning breakfast and then set off into the forest, with packed lunch before dawn breaks. You will meet your guide and then set off to where the chimpanzees built nests the night before. Since dawn is just breaking, the chimpanzee community you are going to be with for the rest of the day is just rising up from their nests.
Your day will be full, so your camera might get filled up with quality pictures of the chimpanzees. In addition, you will get to learn to identify the chimpanzees as individuals by their markings and sometimes scars or other unique features, that make them stand apart from rest.
Besides everything described above, there don’t miss the most colorful butterflies, plants and trees that will amaze you, because the forest setting is simply awesome.

Day 4: Kibale National Park –Queen Elizabeth Park
After an early morning breakfast, get ready for a walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. You will take on a guided nature walk around the swamp, which will provide you the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna. You will also view a variety of butterflies, birds and other insects.
Thereafter, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park while viewing the mystical Rwenzori mountain ranges, for much of the journey at leisure.
After lunch, take on an an afternoon launch cruise along Kazinga Channel – one that joins Lakes Edward and George. The cruise is a wonderful way to see hippos, buffaloes, kobs and the occasional Nile crocodile, which up until recently did not inhabit this area. Don’t miss a spectacular bird watching experience on the river bank. Many visitors who experience the launch cruise consider it be the highlight of their entire African safari.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth Park – Ishasha
Dawn a game drive in Uganda’s best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! Later proceed to Ishasha sector where you will take on yet another evening game drive in search of tree climbing lions. Day 6: Ishasha – Bwindi for Gorilla Habituation Safari
Get on an early morning guided bush walk for a closer interaction with nature. Then the mid-morning will be spent on a game drive searching for the tree climbing lions. Thereafter, head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of the rare mountain gorillas. This journey takes about 5 hours, but driving through interesting features.
Apart from tracking mountain gorillas, there is a wide variety of primates to see including the blue and red tailed monkeys. The forest itself is lush and green , so there are streams running through it.

Day 7: Bwindi Gorilla Habituation Safari
Begin the day with breakfast ready for gorilla trekking, which begins at 8:00 am after a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority staff. Ensure that you carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc.
Join the researcher and guides who will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy primates, for a group you have been booked for. As a result, you will meet the gorillas for up to 4 hours, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth.
The gorilla habituation experience usually takes a day but it’s well worth the effort. So, do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorillas.

Day 8: Bwindi – Kampala/Entebbe
After your morning breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala using Mbarara – Masaka highway. You can make a first stop over at Igongo Cultural Centre for a lunch break, then proceed to the Equator crossing before driving to Kampala and Entebbe for overnight stay at The Boma Hotel (mid-range facility).

Day 9: Entebbe Fly Out
Today is dedicated for a transfer to the airport for your flight to your next destination or back home. Meal plan B. End of service
