Safari Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport-Kampala
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide who will then take you to high end (luxury), mid range or budget accommodation (depending on your choice, for an overnight and dinner in Kampala or Entebbe.
Day 2: Kampala – Kibale National Park
Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and thick jungle of the Nile Delta to Kibale National Park just under the Rwenzori Mountains. An afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area of the park for outstanding cultural visit.
Meals and overnight stay at a luxury, mid range or budget accommodation facility. A stunning location overlooking a dramatic crater lake and the fabled “Mountains of the Moon”.
Day 3: Kibale Chimpanzee Habituation Experience
Today is dedicated for Chimpanzee Habituation Experience. Start the day with a morning early breakfast, and a packed lunch and you are off before dawn breaks into the forest. You meet your guide and you are off to where the chimpanzees built nests the night before. Dawn is just breaking and the chimpanzee community you are going to be with the rest of the day is rising from their sleep in the nests.
Your day will be full so your camera will fill up with quality pictures of the chimpanzees. You will get to learn to identify the chimpanzees as individuals by their markings, sometimes scars and other unique features that make them stand out from rest.
Besides everything described, there are the most colorful butterflies, plants and trees that will amaze you – the setting is simply awesome.

Day 4: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth NP (Travel time +3hrs)
After an early morning breakfast, get ready for Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary where you will take on a guided walk around the swamp. This walk shall provide you with the opportunity to see a wide range of flora and fauna, view a variety of butterflies, bird species and other insects.
Thereafter drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park viewing the mystical Rwenzori Mountain ranges for much of the journey at leisure. After lunch, you’ll take on an afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga Channel – one that joins Lakes Edward and George.
The cruise is a wonderful way to see hippos, buffaloes, kobs, spectacular bird species on the riverbank of the Nile, and the occasional Nile crocodile (which up until recently did not inhabit this area).
Many who experience the launch cruise consider it the ‘the highlight’ of their entire African safari.

Enquire NowDay 5: Queen Elizabeth – Ishasha (Travel time +2hrs)
Begin your day with a cup of coffee. Then an early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile. Other wildlife to encounter include; elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, spotted hyenas, bush bucks, stripped jackal, comical warthogs, elusive leopard, Uganda Kobs and a variety of bird species. Later, proceed to Ishasha sector where you will take on yet another evening game drive in search of tree climbing lions.
Accommodation at Ishasha Wildness Camp (High end) or Ishasha Jungle Lodge (midrange) or The River Ishasha (budget). Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 6: Ishasha – Bwindi (Travel time +1.5hrs)
Early morning guided bush walk for a closer interaction with nature. The mid-morning will be spent on a game drive for the tree climbing lions, and thereafter head to Bwindi. The journey takes about 2 hours but driving through interesting features.
Arrive Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This park is home of the rare mountain gorillas. Apart from gorillas, there are a wide variety of primates to see including the blue and red tailed monkeys. The forest itself is lush and green and there are streams running through it.

Day 7: Bwindi Gorilla Tracking
Still on accross Uganda safari, after breakfast, set off early with guides to track the gorillas. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets because the park is often wet. Spend time in awe watching the gorillas go about their activities.
Each gorilla safari encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display.
Time permitting, spend the afternoon on a community foot safari to explore the life style of the people living and surrounding the park. Return to camp exhilarated to relieve the encounter with friends over a drink.

After breakfast, you will go for the second gorilla track but in another group returning in the afternoon for relaxation and sightseeing around the lodge.

Day 9: Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi (Travel time +3hrs)
After an early breakfast transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale, part of Kibale Forest accross Uganda safari. Lunch break is made in Kabale. The afternoon is spent for relaxation and sightseeing around the Lake.
Overnight stay at Bunyonyi Safaris resort (high end) or Arcadia Cottages (Mid facility) or Bunyonyi Crater bay cottages (Budget facility). Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi
Whole day dedicated for relaxation and after Lunch break then take on afternoon boat ride to some of the islands on the lake.

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi – Kisoro (Travel time +3hrs)
Drive to Kisoro areas near Mgahinga Gorilla National Park ready for a Batwa experience where the Batwa demonstrate hunting techniques, gather honey, point out medicinal plants and demonstrate how to make bamboo cups. Guests are invited to the sacred Garama Cave, once a refugee camp for the Batwa.
Enjoy the sorrowful song which echoes eerily around the depths of the dark cave, performed by women of the community. This usually leaves guests with a moving sense of the richness of this fading culture.

After early breakfast, drive back connecting to Lake Mburo National Park with a visit to Igongo Cultural Centre to explore and learn the culture of Bahima and Ankole. This is the place where the future meets the past.
Continue your drive to Lake Mburo National Park, enroute game drive to your lodge is rewarding and interesting.

Day 13: Lake Mburo National Park
During the morning game drive, in the park that contains an extensive wetland, you will see elands, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, and zebras. The afternoon is spent on a boat ride amidst hippos and other aquatic life plus a variety of beautiful birds.

Day 14: Lake Mburo – Kampala (Travel time +4hrs)
After early morning breakfast, you’ll take on a morning bush walk. Lake Mburo National Park is a very special place; so every part of it is alive with variety, interesting and colourful, because it contains an extensive wetland.
On this bush walk you’ll also see elands, impalas, waterbucks, warthogs, and zebras,a and thereafter, drive back to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator monument.

Day 15: Transfer to Entebbe
Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Entebbe Airport to catch up with your afternoon or evening flight back home.
